It all started with a search for the perfect hat.

I was preparing for a special event and visited countless stores, hoping to find something that felt just right. But nothing truly captured my style—or the elegance I was after. Eventually, I ended up rush ordering a hat online, and while it served its purpose, the experience left me wondering: Why isn’t there a place in the DMV area where women can shop for extraordinary, handcrafted hats in person? That question sparked a dream—and a boutique.

At the heart of Allyn Ruth Millinery, LLC is a belief that every woman deserves to feel confident, stylish, and celebrated. With the vibrant, fashion-forward women of the DMV (and beyond) in mind, I created a space where finding the perfect hat is not just easy, but a joy.

Entrepreneurship runs in our family—it's more than a career path, it's a tradition we’re proud of. So it was only natural that when I opened this boutique, I did it with my daughter by my side.

The boutique is named in her honor, and she works right alongside me, serving customers, and dreaming of where she’ll take the business next.
